FINALLY, Persepolis opens in my hometown today. Everyone needs to see this movie.
I was sad to find out awhile back that it would not be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, but it’s now been nominated for Best Animated Feature Film, so that makes me happy (yes, the Oscars are bullshit, but it’s hard not to be pleased when movies you loved get the recognition).
For those who live in a city where Persepolis is just now opening, check out my review from its limited release at Christmas.
