i stumbled across this as i was googling my own name (very bored at work and needed to do something to stay awake), and wanted to thank you for the heartfelt comments.
i’m especially moved that you caught the “helping the defenseless” (my own term was always “defending the defenseless”) theme being bill’s driving ambition. it’s one of the reasons i’ve idolized him my entire life. his dedication to those causes, and his conviction that this was the right thing to do were unshakeable.
unsaid in the book was bill’s idolization of john lennon, and his seemingly parallel path of consciousness. i thought i would share that little tid-bit of bill’s history with you as my way of saying thanks, again.
