The truth is that JULIA KENDALL, who is graphically modelled on the features of Audrey Hepburn, is a best-selling comicbook in the Italian comic industry. Next month, issue 108 of her monthly series will be released, and each and every one of those issues is a 130 page graphic novel. 

Italy is one of the few countries, along with Japan and France, where comics remain a mass medium. Books like Julia are primarily sold through newsstands so they need to have attractive, eye-catching covers, and moderate luridness is the perfect way to do it. Using the words &quot;torture porn&quot; to describe it is a HUGE stretch of the imagination, to put it mildly.

Julia is created and written with panache and wit by the Best Italian comic writer alive, Giancarlo Berardi:
